By train
Leipzig Central Station
is Europe’s largest railway terminal station. Besides being an impressive architectural highlight, the station puts Leipzig right into the centre of Germany’s, and in fact Europe’s railway network. The fast and comfortable ICE trains provide for good direct connections to all major cities in Germany. A ride to Berlin takes one hour, travel times to Frankfurt and Hamburg are 3 hours, and there is an hourly service. Even for some neighbouring European countries, the train may be an easy and attractive option for travelling to Leipzig. The travel time from Prague to Leipzig by train is 3:30 hours. Leipzig Central Station is located right in the heart of the historic city centre where most of the hotels are. A ride from there to the venue (by public transport or by car) takes approx. 15 minutes.
By car
Leipzig is easily accessibly by road. Three motorways intersect here and form a circle around the city.
The
A9
motorway is Germany’s most important North-South connection and goes from Berlin to Munich.
The
A14
motorway is an important East-West connection from Hannover to Dresden. Via two motorway exits it provides direct access to the venue, and it connects the venue with the Airport within 15 minutes.
The
A 38
motorway, another East-West connection,
starts in Leipzig and ends in Göttingen.
